CLO, Inc. was founded in 1977, with a mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and children with significant developmental disabilities. This includes providing support to families, while assisting each individual to have a fulfilling lifestyle across the lifespan of need. Today, CLO provides a full spectrum of lifespan supports that include residential services, day services, health services, case management, positive behavioral supports, and children’s services.

In collaboration with key faculty and graduate students from the University of Kansas’ Department of Applied Behavioral Science, CLO has been a leader in the advancement and implementation of several unique and highly effective service models, including the Family Teaching Model, the Extended Family Teaching Model, HomeLink Support Technologies, and the CLO Children’s Network which began with the Early Childhood Autism Project (ECAP).
